Celebrating 100 Years of Faith and Community

On August 15, 1925, The Assumption Greek Orthodox Church began its spiritual journey in a modest wooden structure adorned with parishioners’ garden flowers. Fr. Konstantinos Hatzidimitriou celebrated the first Divine Liturgy, marking the birth of a vibrant Orthodox community dedicated to the Falling Asleep of the Virgin Mary.

A century later, the Assumption community has flourished, deepening its Orthodox faith while honoring the legacy of its founders. As we approach our centennial in 2025, we reflect on the enduring love for the Theotokos that has guided generations of faithful.

We invite you to join us in celebrating this momentous milestone throughout 2025. We will honor our beloved Panagia, glorify God, and commemorate a century of spiritual growth and community bonds. Through various planned events, we aim to express our gratitude for a hundred years of blessings and look forward to a future filled with continued faith and devotion.
